The band was born on May 2002, with this line up:

During that year they had their first live show, in front of few people, on a Freddy Mercury Tribute night.

In 2003 they recorded for the first, almost for joke, 6 covers (Bon Jovi, Queen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Dylan), and the year ended with another small live.

In 2004 the band took part in the international contest “Emergenza Rock”, played 3 gigs in Rome till the semifinal. The same year they made two shows on two schools party and their biggest show (for that year): they took part in the “ROMA70 LIVE CONCERT”, where they played in front of a lot of people.

In 2005 they made two live shows at the “ONE FUEGO” club on Jannuary and May, they played on 2 high schools end parties, and they recorded their first two original songs: Tell Me Why and The Believer.

This last one received really positive criticisms and successes on the internet: the song kicked in at n.1 on the Classic Rock and Progressive top of “IAC.com” (Indipendent Artist Company), where it stayed at n.1 for 4 months, thanks to 4000 plays on the first two months.

On september 2005 Fabrizio left the band for personal reasons, and he’s substituted, after a long research, by Dario Stagnitto (11/11/1988). They were selected to take part in the contest “Scuola Rock Event 2005” and they played at the Rome “Alpheus”.

The 2006 opened with great perspectives: Milan “Sana Records” included “The Believer” in a compilation of emergent artists and the band was selected for the “Music Village 2006”. From February 2006 they began to do a lots of shows, they played 3 times at the famous Rome “Jailbreak”, participated to the “Tiburtina Rock Festival” playing at the Rome “Traffic”, then opened for the last “Jersey Cowboys” (BonJovi Tribute) gig of the season and on August they opened also for the famous ”Eurosmith” (Aerosmith Tribute) at ”Rock Castle On the River”. In the meantime for the period of June the band had been busy recording, workin’ on their actually first own demo: Here Lies Rock N Roll (4 original songs). When the recordings ended Marco, the band’s keyboarder left Knyght, so they were forced to replace him and the drummer too, for the Music Village week where they stayed 7 nights, that in spite of everything, it will give various satisfactions to the band. Just in the moment in which some doors seemed to open for them, Paolo, the drummer, had to leave for a stage in the United States, the band decided to don’t replace him, but to wait and in the meantime, they found a new keyborder Francesco The Doctor (14/04/1988) and took a break from live activity, but continuing to rehearse, to write and play music waitin’ for Paolo and to came back on the scene on the beginning of 2007.

In these months of appearing break, the band landed, with the new demo, on myspace where in 3 months received something as 6000 plays.

Time started to run fast, myspace plays grew about 1000/2000 per month, the band didn’t stop to rehearse and new songs saw the light, thanks also to the new entry keyboarder help, till Paolo would come back to Italy at the end of January.

Knyght didn’t waste time and on February’s first days they already had one gig, “Blues vs Rock” live @ Fuze di Tivoli (Rm), an occasion to propose some of their new songs. KickPromotion Agency had interess to offer their services to Knyght to promote the demo “Here Lies Rock N Roll”, but the band refused the proposal prefering to wait and record new songs for a new demo! So the band started to rehearse new songs and plan the next season, the next demo and a better promotion than the previous one; however the old project counted 10000 plays on myspace and it had also been on air on two Californian (Usa!) fm radios.

Knyght started evolving their new promotion, so the band realized their first professional photographic set with Fausto Favetta & Carlo Amoruso.

April and May were full of concerts for the band, five shows: Kyght played for the first time in acoustic version at Rock Castle, they opened for the JerseyCowboys’ show at the Ottagono Pub, participated at the second edition of “BloodBattleInParadise” with Stick It Out and HighVoltage, played for a benefit performance at the VI edition of “Suoni e Frastuoni Festival”, the event took more than 500 people, and at last Knyght rocked at Alkatraz in Fiumicino(Rm) for their last winter show.

After one year, on May 15, Knyght came back into Risonanze studio in Rome to start the recording sessions of their next demo. The recording ended in about one month and a half, and the new demo “Destination Unknown” was ready.

“Destination Unknown” includes five songs, 3 new ones and 2 from the previous demo but with the voice recorded again and with a better mix.

The Californian label “272Records” included into the GLAM NATION compilation “Stop Me”, sold in some Hollywood shops, on Amazon.com and on air on 25 fm californian radios.

The new live season (2007/08) starts soon and very well for the band: 2 show at the Alkatraz, one at the famous Rome’s QUBE for RadioRock with a live interview at the radio the Saturday evening before and, plus, Knyght has the pleasure to open at the Jailbreak for one of the best international Hard Rock band of the moment: the Australians KORITNI.

November goes even better: 2 shows in Rome, some Italians and Europeans rock radios start to play the band’s new demo, and a small italian tv call Knyght to play an acoustic show in tv with an interview.

2007 ends with 12 shows in 7 months, lots of radio airplays by more than 25 italian and european radios and all positive reviews (with ratings between 6 and 8).

Firsts two months of 2008: Knyght play 3 shows (one festival with the glamrock Swedish band Leaded Fuel), they reached 20.000 plays and 25.000 views on myspace.com, the band also start to work on new songs.

The band celebrates 6 years on May 2008, and plays some other show at Rock Castle (Rome), Palarockness (Genzano) and plays for the season final party night at the Jailbreak “Roma Caput Glam”. At this point “Destination Unknown”, almost at the end of its promotion, was played by more than 40 european radio stations, lots of reviews and thousands of plays on internet……
